Strong antivirus like Solomons' Anti Vinus etc. is needed to prevent virus.  Each of these Anti Virus works differently.  There is a proverb in English, 'Prevention is always better then cure'.  Therefore, instead of getting infected with the virus, measures should be taken to prevent it from getting infected.  Below are some ways to protect yourself from viruses:

1.  Every file, folder of the computer is scanned through regular virus scan.

2.  Check if the program used is virus infected.

3.  Do not use an external disk.

4.  Not to use pirated or copied software.

5.  In receiving Internet files or e-mails

Be careful.

6.  Using original software.

7.  Backup of necessary data at the end of daily work.

8.  Always have an updated version of antivirus software

9.  Keeping virus protection active in the computer setup.

10.  Take regular file backups.

11.  Keep the Com and exe files of all programs as Read only.

12.  Encouraging everyone to fight the virus.
